I would appreciate if we can put Sedo links in the "domain for sale - offers wanted" threads.

There is no point of creating more or less same threads in different subforums when you can put the Sedo link.

e.g.

Example thread

thanks

i could go for that, if the seller is also willing to sell the domain here, on the forum.

but if the seller wants the sale to go thru the sedo process, where the bidder could be faced a potential auction, then it should remain in current subforum.

because if you get a bid and send to auction, then it's no longer an "offers wanted" thread.

then a mod would have to move it and you would want to update it for "time left" and "current high bid".

now if you just want to use sedo's escrow service (external domain transfer service) for the transaction, that can already be added to your post.

you can also have a link to your portfolio at sedo, in your signature.

another alternative is to just post the domain and tell people that it's also listed on sedo and they can copy and paste the name in sedo's search box.

or you can do what you did in your example and hope it doesn't get closed.

who knows, maybe they will change it

of course, this is just my opinion and some meaningless dribble...

:)

Thanks for your reply and for pointing out the possible scenerio.

I think the seller has reponsibility to update the threads before starting auction at Sedo.

It is the same even if the seller create both "domains for sale offers wanted" thread as well as Sedo auction thread. Either case, the seller has responsibility to update the thread and couldn't rely on the Mods.
