selling domain through escrow

I have a domain registred at godaddy. someone is interested to buy it and he suggested to go through sedo.com, he says it has %3 fee there
anyone has experience selling through sedo? are they ok?
what must i do, i first transfer my name to sedo and then they will do it? how does it work?
i dont want to be tricked, first time selling domain. what must i be careful about?

Once you both agree on pricing escrow will start.
When the buyer paid to Sedo they will wait to confirm the payment then you PUSH the name to SEDO godaddy account and wait for payment.

SEDO will tell you step by step what need to be done.

See https://sedo.com/us/services/domain-transfer-service/ regarding External Domain Transfer . I haven't used this service but indeed have sold through Sedo's regular marketplace. I've never had an issue & feel very comfortable with sales handled through them.
