New Here dnforum but not new in domain industry.

I share one recent sale with details.
Sedo did a great job. They are a good site for retail sales of domain names.

ShirtMaster.com

Purchased 8-18-2015 at SnapNames for $69.00

Sold 3-6-2018 through Sedo for $10,000.00 NET figure Buyer paid commission to Sedo.

The domain was dormant (not listed)
Sedo broker contacted me with an offer of $2,000 2-22-2018

2-28-2018 I accepted offer.

You have to be patient in this industry. You wouldn't get that ROI (over 14,000%) on any other investment over 3 years.
