Hello, friends. I'm interested in your thoughts on this domain name that I just registered:

ShockAwe.US

It's certainly a current name, if nothing else.

Thanks for offering your thoughts.

Best regards,
Sheila

Dear Theo,

Thanks for the reply. But is that a good thing or a bad thing? I couldn't tell from your response.

Thanks,
Sheila

PS. I love your new avatar ... I love the aroma and taste of oranges ... mmmmmm!!!

What is the point of registering something like this?

A cheap media catch-phrase for what may be the beginning of a very dark period in world history.

Yep!
Just don't tell anybody...
I went for my bi-anual haircut so I though I'd get a DNF make-over while I was at it.

I still go by MF though.

Cheers!

This war is bringing a lot of attention to this particular war strategies. If anyone is interested, the original book is available online at http://www.dodccrp.org/shockIndex.html

Who knows, maybe this term will stick around and become part of American rhetoric.

I haven't heard this term used before until this week and I doubt we'll hear it being used afterwards- there are much better .us names still available if you hunt them down. I certainly don't see how such a name can have any commercial value. $0

Thanks, everyone! I appreciate all of your opinions.

RJ ... thanks for providing that link. For anyone who is interested, the link takes you to a copy of the entire book from which this phrase was taken. It is interesting reading, to say the least.

Best regards,
Sheila

I would also have to give it a zero, the proper term used was "shock and awe " notice how all ext. are taken.

Making profit from Shock ? would you like to be shocked ?

Media-coined names are not bad necessarily. I have several such names, e.g. AsianBrownCloud.com and BalkanSyndrome.com

But unfortunately, as others pointed out, it's not "ShockAndAwe" so the name is incomplete.
