Sold a domain in DNF, buyer didn't get the domain!!!

if you check whois on the name does it show your name or his? I would just hang onto it for a while and renew it.. I have seen this happen before. I sold a domain a few years back and the current owner still has the dns set at my parking service. It makes a decent amount.
I woudlnt delete the name because then you both would be out the name and ultimately he would want his $ back
