Well, I am running one site with google in the domain and even got complimented by Google when I asked for permission to run it my way.

It all depends how you compliment their business model I think. From that standpoint it's pretty smart of them to be a bit more at ease with other folks running some side-shows for them (like forums and info sites on anything they offer and do).

Yes. Let us know. I don't believe any one can take your story seriously if you can't provide the name of this site Google has "approved". While they seem "ok" with sites like "Googlism.com", I don't see them taking sites that seek to use their brand/domains for whatever purpose they like. Doesn't make any sense.

Google. This is the company that went after Booble.com for trade-dress issues.

logoogle.com, I collect Google Logos with Google's blessing, some additional Google info to be found there. Asked them for approval and they had one remark about products I was selling, took it off and they were fine ("flattered") about the interest in their and other's logo art. This was their wording.

My experience is that: if you have a solid case to support any of their activities by helping others to deal with the whole Googlemania in a sense that they find additional info, fun stuff, you name it, they are real easy. But I would never develop anything without their consent. This is what I would expect if someone would compliment my offering.

BTW: Just sold one domain from that list for 3gran.
BTW2: I got about 100 Google related domains more...

Now, I was actually hoping to get an idea of some sort. Isn't this the spot where folks help each other to name some numbers?

Hi

if you have ......." Just sold one domain from that list for 3gran."

then imo, you don't need any appraisals or $ figures!

especially if you got the domains at "regg fee"!

Being honest here: I am not sure if the others could pull off just as much, being a bit uncertain, that's why....

unless you make a site with each one, and get google approval for each, then you might have a change at selling them.

I know for a fact google does license sem sites to use the words google and adsense, I have in the past pointed to such sites.
But as is, I cant really see much value, the names themselves arent that good, and the TM possibility exists.

No offense taken. These sites are all listed within ODP, Google Dir. (two of mine included) and deliver a great deal of value. That's at least what my users state and others (at those other sites) might believe as well.

Isn't that enough to believe in for folks who hold the search engine market dear to their heart and try supporting this industry by providing additional info, just as you find a lot of coverage of other companies in different industries?

UPDATE: now ebay-ing 148 Google related domains, if interested PM me.

Dear wwwjugler i mean that I don't believe that you can find a buyer for these domains in this forum (reseller market) nobody will buy TM domains in order to sell, you've told that you've got permission from google, but the new buyer might ask a permission again am i right ?

However wish you luck with your sales

I am not sure if everyone who runs a Google related site has acquired any kind of consent by Google, but I would strongly advise it. Also I would suggest to disclaim the content for users not to confuse a suportive site with Google's own content.

If done properly any business environment can accellerate win-win scenarios and gain public trust. Many sites listed in the directory have done just that.

BTW: I do not intend to sell my own Google related sites though as they are highly profitable and great fun to entertain and maintain.
