I find today one of my domain is no longer mine!
the expriation date is Jan 2009 and it shows it was transferred out Dec 2008 to an chinese registrar.

One weakness of domain name is that it is at an active status, it is to say it is not registrar-lock. But I do now receive any email showing it is transferring out.

How can I do? thank you!

you sure you never got any mail in that registered domain name email id by any chance AND you never clicked on that?

Check your inbox completely for december till date

Did you posted that domain for sale ? where all?

If someone has access to your email account / PC to approve the transfer request, he will be smart enough to delete the transfer mail

I really hope you've changed all your passwords as soon as you noticed this.

You need to provide more information in order to get help from members here.
- Registrar
- What is the actual expiration date
- Double check the spelling and make sure that you don't look at the wrong name

Any details about the history of the name would help. You don't need to reveal the name.

Your first action should be to contact the registrar as soon as possible. Members can only give you suggestions providing they understand the story with the details. The info "My domain name is stolen" does not help.

Good luck!

the registrar is enom and the current registrar is xin net from china
the expireation date now is 09-jan-2011, and I renewed it at 08-jan-2008 for one year. The report of my enom account shows it was transferred out at 8-Dec-2008

get in touch with enom, open a ticket for dispute.
get in touch with the curretn registrar and the email id and question him as well.

john,

is there any chance of domain getting into a state of availability when the domain is been renewed (like when the database of the domain registry is getting updated with the latest information)

I just checked the domaintools domain history, it is transferred to xin net Oct 2008. I think it is the problem of xin net who do not send me email before initiating the transfer process.

If the domain was locked it would not matter whether xin net or any "rogue" registrar sent the admin a transfer email or not. Lock your domains.
