State of the LLLL domains?

I have couple LLLL.com names, and have no idea what the current value(s) are.

With the recent sellout of ALLL.com names, I am sure that the value has gone up from the reg. fee. prices of just months before.

Thoughts?

I have a few (just over 20) LLLL.coms and am hoping they will go up in value after they are all regged, but there are still about 40k need regsitering apparently.

when trying to find values for these types, including your other concerns for NLL.org, it's best to review the sales threads for prices sought and domains wanted section for bugeted purchases thereof.


therein lies the statistical numbers which you can graph to evaulate your own portfolios.

other sources would be "backorder" closing prices and starting bids.

Needless to say, not all LLLL.com carry much weight. Four letter dictionary words are primo. Like MAPS, ROAD, CARE, CARS, AUTO. You won't see these coming around.

The ALLL thing actually happened months ago and I reported it while doing a scan. But there are perhaps one or two dropping every day so these things are usually very short lived.

There are 456,976 LLLL combinations. Q,X,Y,Z are considered the lesser quality. However, these are very common characters in the Chinese language as well.

On the scale of things, other than the obvious Dictionary words, popular acronyms like ACLU are always good but never come up. CVCV is hot, VVVV is good, taking an LLLL as two words is great like TOMY or UpYo as above this posting.

But one of my biggest sales came out of nowhere. It was TYTZ.COM. I regged it as a domain for the sake of the sound of TIGHTS as in dancers or adult themed. One month it got over 70,000 hits and the next month was doing equally well when I received an offer via a WHOIS lookup. You never know how the end user plans to use any domain.

Turns out TY is the country code for Turkey. TYTZ.com has a real nice site and I got a nice sight when payment cleared escrow

I think most 4 letter domains are a crap shoot unless they are so blatantly obvious successes. Reg fee sometimes pays off in a big way. Park them, optimize keywords, if they make enough money in the PPC over a year's time for a renewal is a basic benchmark.
