I figured we should make a whole thread about TBR domains. I noticed that "theinvestor" didn't make a weekly TBR thread this week also, I hope that last weeks messages weren't construed as an "attack" on discussing TBRs...also, I really started this thread for him so that we could organize all of our TBR discussion in one place. I think everyone was just stating that the more we talk about a TBR before it actually releases, the more competition there is for it and the more inflated (and over-inflated) the prices/auctions become.

Anyhow, having said that, since the May 7, 2008 TBR is over or now in auction, did anyone get anything good or worthwhile? I see that a lot of the 3L domains went over to Pool for auction. I picked up a few in auction, nothing spectacular. I did snag suited(dot)ca. It might make a good poker site or even a fashion site, who knows.

Did the rest of you manage anything decent?

Hey Joe,

I didn't make a thread this week because i felt that if everyone feels it is hurting them...then i just won't post it. Even though in my opinion i feel it hurts no one when you post TBR sales. As mentioned before i tried my best to make sure that the domains discussed were only discussed when they went into auction. To not create further competition.

I am still in auction for domains, so i will let you know by Monday.
But if you're interested to know STP.ca sold today at sibername for $1008.

Good luck.

Good luck to you on your auctions! I noticed that STP went for $1k+...I was thinking that it could be dangerous as I believe STP is a popular TM in the auto industry. I guess most CC or CCC are possible trademarks so it really just depends on what development plans lie ahead.

Did anybody here manage to get "premium.*.ca"? I thought that name was premium :p

Lots of auctions on pool ended today. I snagged one domain, did anybody else get anything? What were final prices? I saw:

a7(dot)ca finished at $1580

Nothing was great this week....average domains...below average LLL.ca's.

It's starting to get pretty bad ...with that being said....prices will start to go up.

It had lower overall quality than recent TBR's. The highest bid I saw on Namepros was about $450, there were still lots of names with bids. Haven't checked next week yet.

TBR has been very thin the past few months - aside from the few obvious ones, it's pretty clear I'm not the only one hunting down domains before they ever make it to the tbr. ;)

There are some good points to the tbr being flat - like having a larger wallet!

Hi, I have an account at namespro.ca and couldn't find any info about TBR, where to bid on tbr domains and auction. Could you please send me in the right direction.

Thanks,

David

got lasertherapy_ca and KawarthaLakes_ca at the pool auction that closed today
Kawartha Lakes is a very populated combination of towns combined into the City of Kawartha Lakes - so I am happy about that one

Anyone pick-up any names yesterday, May 21, 2008? The pickings were slim (as usual lately). There are a few in auction right now (at least 8 that I can think of). I picked-up ItalianGelato( . )ca for fun...it will make an interesting developed site, I think.

I'm in an auction for V-I-P.ca at Siber.

Can you believe it, an L-L-L.ca?
