The most beautiful websites?

Hello,

I collaborate with a landscape fotographer who has some 20.000 of the most stunning pictures of the region around Salzburg/Austria.

Now I am just beginning to create the design-idea for a big website about this region.

The website will go online on http://www.BeautifulAustria.com

What I am looking for are other, extremely beautiful NON-FLASH (please!) sites that you may have come across.

Any beautiful, tranquil, pleasing or otherwise soothing website you may have found. Any websites that rightfully got their awards for beautiful webdesign or others that didn't but which you simply love to visit because of their beauty.

By sharing we can all learn from those beautiful websites and maybe contribute a bit to make the web an even better place.

I guess I won't get much help here. Too bad. I had hoped that in this part of the forum that deals particularly with design and graphics, some people could recommend a few beautiful sites.

Thanks steen. Flash is good stuff and you can create marvellously beautiful sites with it. But it's drawbacks are just not acceptable for me at the moment. But I've seen Flash site that had WOW-factor 100 )

I hoped he was too, wasn't so sure though and didn't want to hurt his feelings), but just to clarify things, - the tripod-thing has WOW-factor 4 (with 100 being the goal) )

"tripod" - my thought was that you wanted some beautiful images, having visited Sri Lanka last year it is such a beautiful place I think the images are beautiful.
Okay the site design in total rubbish but don't you find some of the images beautiful and delightful?
