Hello,
I'm wondering what you guys/gals would appraise www.thesimstwo.com at?

It's meant for a fansite for www.thesims2.com

Currently it gets about 30-40 unique visits a day with no advertising in the past 2 years. About 90% of them are type-ins. I was making about $100/month from adsense about 2 years ago, since then I've left the site be. (That was before The Sims 2 game actually came out.)

Sounds like a tm issue but I am not a lawyer. If you use their name and it is tm and are making revenue like you said then I believe you can get into some trouble. But as I said I am not a lawyer.

I spoke to their legal department and they said if it was used for something that they considered competed with their product or anything of that nature then there would be a legal issue, but if it were to be used as a fansite or something of that sort there is nothing wrong.

That doesn't surprise me. If it's a fan site it's really at the discretion of the company in a lot of cases as to if they want to pursue it. Since SIMS 2 came out a while ago they would have raised a fuss a long time ago if it was an issue (of course there are no guarantees)
