Hmmmmm.
Just checked the whois again on www.thistle.com
The guy who bought it was a 'edited name', now thistle hotels are showing. Might have been becuase i just pushed to a godaddy account as had altered whois within a 60 day period etc. Now with a different registrar. The saga continues LOL
Either that was their pseudonym or he did the quickest flip in history.
I can safely say it will never be sold again!
They were aware of the auction , i made sure a broker from sedo told them personally so guess they bidded at time. Said at time, shame just one more enduser couldn't have got involved, or it really could have flown.
Anyways, i won't be selling thistle.mobi in a hurry now & there won't be any sympathetic discounts. muaha, muahaha muhahahaha
Think it's price just went up.

Bummer. It seems Sedo auctions are good at bringing high prices, but not when you have a mammoth company like Thistle after a name. You'd have been better off telling them privately that you wanted $100k for it. Still, £20k is a considerable sum.

I did all i could. I put it on offer with big exposure. A kind of come & get me if you want me.
It was regged in 94 & noone came after it. I thought well, rather than wait for Mohammed to come to the mountain.........
I just needed one more enduser to get involved.
I got the sedo brokers on the case & got them to contact endusers so they were aware... thistle golf etc Just so as newbies know, you can do this. Don't ever be afraid to ask. They take a healthy commission, would be a shame if they didn't have to work for it. :smilewinkgrin:

However looks like we both got a fair deal. They will however make millions from the traffic converting into sales. Good luck to them. With over 50 hotels in London, they're doing okay anyhow.
The price of thistle.mobi just shot up though!
Only Brits & Scots can understand the true beauty of owning Thistle.com though. For all it's connotations.
Onto the next one.......................

I suppose I'm one of the would'a could'a should'a crowd. Cos I woulda held that name cos I coulda sold it for much more, so I really shoulda bidded on it. But alas my funds don't stretch that far for a domain.. Just wish I had'a few more bucks :blush:
