Hello all,

Can I please have your opinions and appraisals on Tofu.com?

It has been registered since 1995, is PR5, and describes the generic name of a food sort that is huge in Asia and growing in popularity in the west also.

Thank you.

amazing....

other than the Japanese version it is also a huge hit with vegeterians everywhere.

high $x,xxx

$xx,xxx

Great name - easily marketable and easy to remember

not trying to ruin the party here, but I think we should make a difference between reseller pricing and end user pricing for an appraisal.

True. A fellow domainer just offered me the high xxxx you speculated in your initial post, by the way. On the flipside, ForumTalks.com offered me $20. ;)

Thank you seeker and everyone else for the feedback, and thanks but no thanks to the PMs about asking prices - I don't have one currently.

That was my reseller pricing, which IMHO is fair for a reseler.
If I had the domain, I would not accept that.
Thats why I think there should always be a reseller price in mind (as in this forum) and an end user price.

Amazing name, best of luck with it.

Sorry I allways make low offers to see if I can get it cheap you never know =-) But ill appraise it at high xxx-x,xxx mid

bah

I want to agree with $xx,xxx (retail), but does the economic potential really justify it? Is there really a viable "tofu" business for the web, or potential parking revenue? I'm open-minded here...

whats the traffic on tofu.com .. I typed in tofu in google, and it popped up first., plus it has an ovt of 17,000+ for "tofu"

I don't know as of right now - I have it pointed to the web site of the old owners while building an own web site as I am afraid of risking the good SE positions and the Yahoo/Dmoz listings.

Alexa has it listed as 279k though, so it can't be phenomenally good.

TOFU ~ the alternative search engine!

$20K. I'd wait 2 more years and a premium like this will fetch $50K easily IMO.
