DreamHost is celebrating their 6th Birthday and has gone crazy in cutting down their top-tier hosting plan (which comes with a Miva Merchant License and even VPN Access) from $79.95 to $9.95 for just 3 days.

I am sorry to tell you that this is already the 3rd day and it's for new customers only.

Re: http://www.dreamhost.com/shared/

P.S. The only reason that I post this here in the advertising forum is that if you are kind enough to tell them that I'm (username: nameslave) your referrer, I'll get 99 cents (i.e. 10%) every month. ;)

I have been using them since August 1999. Their support is good: nice and helpful. They even have a discussion forum at http://discussion.dreamhost.com for not only existing but also potential customers.

To tell you the truth: I had been SERIOUSLY looking for an alternative since I don't want to put all my eggs in a single basket BUT FAILED a while back.

And the best thing is that this is not just a short-term promo stunt; you are able to keep this low price AS LONG AS you stay with them!

thank you for your answer, one last question do you think i can use them to host my new websites (html only and i expect 1000 visitors per days on each of them)? or are they essentially good to park domain names?

Of course, they are good for handling much more sophisticated web projects than that. ;)

I should have posted this offer earlier. They are probably tearing down the promo! Sorry for that. :(

Thanks, FoxDale. Hope you'll find them good. :)

By the way, DreamHost has ended this out-of-their-mind promotion and that Level 4 hosting plan is now back to $79.95/mo. Anyway, their entry plan is EXCELLENT for people who want to activate A LOT of domain names since redirecting and even mirroring is FREE. In other words, you can simply sign up for $9.95/mo and host hundreds of domain names at no extra cost.
