eToys.com was a retail website that sold toys via the Internet. It was established by a startup company of the same name in 1997. After going public in 1999, the company quickly shot up in value, becoming emblematic of the dot-com bubble. The company went bankrupt in 2001 and shut down soon thereafter
Yes, and that domain name etoys I believe was going to be going into this bankruptcy auction too, but they reversed and decided to revive the Toys R Us and Babies R Us brands. etoys.com and toys.com are both owned by Toys r us.

Interesting, they are now saying "Geoffrey LLC" on these domain names instead of Toys R Us.

https://whois.domaintools.com/etoys.com
https://whois.domaintools.com/toys.com
https://whois.domaintools.com/toysrus.com
https://whois.domaintools.com/babiesrus.com

But who is this Geoffrey?

Geoffrey, LLC

Founded: 1984
Parent organization: Toys“R”Us

Geoffrey, LLC, as reorganized, will control a portfolio of intellectual property that includes trademarks, ecommerce assets and data associated with the Toys "R" Us and Babies "R" Us businesses in the United States and all over the world, including a portfolio of over 20 well-known toy and baby brands such as Imaginarium, Koala Baby, Fastlane and Journey Girls. The reorganized company will own rights to the Toys "R" Us and Babies "R" Us brands in all markets globally, with the exception of Canada. It will also become the licensor of the brands to the company's existing network of franchisees operating in countries across Asia, Europe and the Middle East, and in South Africa.

The link of the picture you mention it's ok. But the site toy isn't showing on search engine that telatabi said. Now who is correct "you or telatabi".
toy.com? Or http://www.toyS.com? The toy.com site is not resolving but toys.com is.

Also resolving is not going to guarantee that it will show up on the search engine, especially if the site is not optimized for that domain. They mainly are optimized for the toysrus.com domain, and thats the brand that they are promoting. Does not mean they can not benefit from the type in traffic on toys.com. But I honestly think they are thinking too small for that name. They should be selling toys for big boys, like 4 wheelers and other outdoor toys.

Wonder why they didnt rebrand to toys.com for everything in the first place when they owned that awesome domain?

Who knows? They own the etoys.com name that was a major brand too, but instead of forwarding it, they have it not resolving. Some of the people behind major brands have awesome names but have no idea what to do with them. If they were to brand their stores and their website as Toys.com and sold the kids toys as well as bigger stuff to make a higher revenue from the investments.

They could have a separate brand "Toys.com" for the bigger items, and the Toys R Us brand next door. They could sell electronics and stuff to compete with BestBuy and grills to cater to a grown adult's category.
