Hi

A domain I want - a dot com - I just realised its registered in the US as a trademark! For a business very, very different to what I want to use it for. They used to own the domain, but its been passed around a bit since, so I presume they sold it.

Now, If I have a UK trademark for the word, and the domain is for my UK business (completly diff to their US one... seriously, not even a vague overlap in services) everything is safe and happyland isnt it?

Or could they still demand it back in US court, causing me all sorts of bizarre trouble?

(Although, as far as I can tell, their business is bust - they shut down and sold the domain I think, but their trademark is still active. Although its in the name of their now bust business, but its not listed as 'Dead')

Thanks
Any help for a cautious worrier like myself is appreciated
