Mr John Carver is NOT a seller, but a SCAMMER!

From time to time we all have bad deals...

If we would ALL SHARE the "weed" would be sorted out for good!

YOU! Could be NEXT!

mom.org.uk - purchased on ebay June 2003!

Till today (over 1 year) , despite numerous e-mails to the seller, the domain is not transfered!

Oh dear sad boy... Let's throw a little fact in. I did a very nice deal a couple of days ago without problem:
http://www.dnforum.com/showthread.php?t=73107

The only problem deal I have ever had is from you Jello... And the only problem was you Jello. Let me remind you, your ebay, paypal and squaretrade complaints failed. All three included my participation although I didn't need to participate. You really do make me laugh sad boy. When you are in the UK you have my address pop in and well sort matter out. It won't take very long at all I can promise you that. Until then, you have one option left, your lawyer. Now use it sad boy.

he can say anything he wants - HE TOOK ME FOR A RIDE with my FIRTS .uk purchase

what could be the reason that the domain is STILL under his name?

ebay rule: nothing can be done AFTER 3 months!

i DID NOT KNOW that for uk domains its not enough to move them, but nominet forms must be submitted!

"woke up" too late and the scammer took advantage

HE WILL CHEAT YOU TOO!

Yeah, I was going to say -- I don't understand: If Mrs.Jello won the auction and paid you for the domain name, aren't you contractually obligated to transfer the domain name to him?

I can tell you it will very soon be deleted so I would suggest you get your act together with the registration of the name. Clearly, you do not know what you are doing from your own admission.

I repeat, "The only problem deal I have ever had is from you Jello... And the only problem was you Jello. Let me remind you, your ebay, paypal and squaretrade complaints failed".

The salient fact here is that mom.org.uk is STILL in John's name.

As Igal and John are both forum members I attempted to mediate this long running dispute between the two parties several months ago. Igal replied to me to explain his side of the story and was very courteous and professional. John gave a very agressive reply demanding that I remove Igal's legitimate and factual forum posts, threatened one of my mediators, and basically told me to "mind my own business".

We have done business with Igal and you will not find a better trading partner. He is the quickest payer in the business and only asks that a vendor's transfer documentation is sent to him with the same promptness that he excercised in paying for his purchases. Is this really too much to ask? And yes, if you make him wait a whole year after he has paid you for a domain, then what a surprise, he will get severely browned off!

Oh, silly you Jello, you have simply forgotten to mention David's following comment. Just to remind you let me remind you. You would not have done that deliberately would you (sad boy):

"I'd like to reiterate that when I purchased a domain name from John Carver, over a year ago, I had no problems whatsoever. I actually forgot to sign the cheque (at the time I didn't write them very often - maybe once every couple of years - and the particular bank where the cheque was from neglected to put a line where I needed to sign so I just didn't think). Sounds dumb I know but it happened.

Anyway I asked John to destroy the cheque and I think I BACSed him the money. Anyway I got the documents very soon afterwards for no extra fee other than what was quoted in my final winning bid price. I've never done business with Igal so cannot comment but I know people that have and they've got no complaints.

Unless someone can furnish me with a full explanation of exactly what happened from start to finish, I cannot really comment on this particular situation except to say that it might be good for all concerned if it got sorted and, perhaps, just put down to a genuine misunderstanding".

I don't think this is the place for this argument but it is clear that transfer of the domain has never been carried out.
Nominet requires a fee to transfer any .uk domain and the fee of £35 is more than the name was sold for.
Why cannot this be resolved here and now without further mutual slanging?

Mr Webname, I have no intention of dealing with this matter any further. Jello had initiated proceedings with paypal, ebay and squaretrade. I 'voluteered' to be invloved with all. His cases all failed. Becuase of this he attempts to hound my dealings. I have said to him I will speak to his lawyer, he refuses to assign a lawyer to the matter. Case closed.

yes, the buyer usually pays the transfer fee, but... the forms for transfer CAN'T be requested from the NOMINET by the buyer

THE SELLER REQUESTS THESE FORMS, SIGNS AND SENDS TO THE BUYER once he is paid

in the scammer cases, the seller receives thge fund and does not forward a FREE transfer form that can be requsted to be send directly to the buyer

Looks like mr John Carver is also promoting his samming services via his forums on www.gmails.co.uk and www.gmailscom to others.

WHY CAN'T THE SELLER PROVIDE THESE FREE FORMS only HE knows

Sounds complicated. Igal, could you clarify if John has ever sent you *any* transfer forms at all. I could not tell from your post. I've never heard of "free transfer forms", but if they exist they sound a bit convoluted.

All I know is that if I pay for something I shoule receive something. If you buy a car, you should receive the car, no matter the time it takes. To simply state you are not going to procude the product you promised AFTER you received payment is fraud. If you are not going to give this person their Domain Name, then why not give them the money back so you can clear your own name? Do you really want to take someone's money and not provide a product or service? It's very odd and I for one appreciate this matter being brought ot the forum's attention. I don't like shady deals. It's very simple, give the name or the money and no one has a problem.
