Traffic Exchange

What 'Traffic Exchange' service's have you used? Was it successful in driving in additional hits/traffic too your site?

I've recently utilized www.FastAds.net and have seen a big increase in visitors for the specific 'sites' we have included in their exchange program.. so far, it's been a great TrafficTool !!

Traffic exchanges are good in terms of banner exchanges. Fastads.net is more like an auto-surf or auto-hit program where all you are getting is other webmasters viewing your page for .5 seconds just so another webmaster will view their page for .5 seconds. Essentially, these can produce volumes of page views but the traffic is not targetted and basically does nothing but waste your bandwidth. Your better off exchanging links with sites that correlated with yours. This will produce lower volumes of targetted traffic.

I used links to you link exchange on my site for a while which drives a lot of links to your site and some extra hits but being a link farm decided to remove it as it was not worth being penalized by the search engines for just for a few extra hits.
Be careful using these schemes as you can be downgraded with your search engine positions.
The best bet is to find sites with similar content and ask them for a link exchange not only will it boost your sites page rank and standing but will also increase targetted hits from interested parties.

right.. the 'link farms' are no good.. and i advise to steer away from such.. however with FastAds.com actually the viewing time frame is like 25seconds.. it's been a good way to get our site content in front of webmasters. As well, we develop quality link exchanges with webmaster resource related sites...
