Hello there,

Sail.com was sold to Nat of Telepathy, inc. Based in DC. Thus the Whois will reflect such. I have screenshots from last week of it's placement, and ownership of "sail.com" from my Network Solutions account. As for train.com - Please feel free to shoot me over an e-mail via the Admin contact address displayed on the train.com Whois.

i thought they only wanted domains you own?
Please do not assume anything. Over the past three months alone I have successfully sold Horror.com, Down.com, Come.com, Sail.com, HotLesbians.com, as well as three more undisclosed (high-end) domains. Please leave the skepticism at the door when dealing with me. I am aware of the rules, I have been here for almost two years.

All the best,

I'm not busting your stones, I just saw a thread the other day for sail.com, then this and I noticed they came from the same poster, two strong names

I just saw in the old sail.com thread that you posted you sold it

I posted to it before you stated it was sold days ago

anyway, if you're the admin or broker for train .com congrats, it's a strong name but the sail.com name has a much larger pool of potential end users

train.com who would the ultimate end user be? amtrak perhaps, and they're always in bankruptcy asking for more gov money to keep running

maybe a travel company booking traveling on a train?

maybe a euro train company that isn't broke like amtrak is

the most likely company that would spend big bucks on it is sony

now, I just happen to be in almost daily email correspondence with a MAJOR STAR in the sony music portfolio

so I HAD AN UNUSUAL INTEREST in this name since I know some people that could maybe start the ball rolling on a large deal for it

so if you wish to pursue this PM me

or have someone from the registered owner company contact me

my company has two record labels, I'm not sony or UMG or any of the big deals, but I do know many players in the music biz and quite a few famous artists

now there's a major sony artist that should have the name

so if the registered owner wants to pursue it, I can mention it to another major sony artist I know

then we see what happens

I dont' assume anything, I merely pointed out that the nic record is out nyc

your nic record on some other names is out of an apartment in deerfield

one of my companies is out of coral springs

one of my homes is in parkland

so, I asked a simple question since I know a potential group at sony should be interested and I know a major sony artist who I've been in email contact almost every day recently

so it seemed like something I might want to get involved with

now if you have better contacts than me at sony

good luck

oh, for anyone not knowing who the sony artist that should have this name the group is "TRAIN"

as to who my contact is at sony

let's just say his band is a "MAJOR" band with around 25 years of hits

his wife is in the news due to some articles one of our news sites is running

so we've been emailing each other a couple of times a day over it

he's wife is involved in a big story

we broke the story

I've been chatting him up about some artists on our own labels getting feedback and info about maybe getting them onto a bigger label to get the exposure they should have

anyway, if the reg'd owners want to sell the name I'll be happy to let my contact know it's up for grabs

that's your best buyer for it and I was only trying to verify who the owner is

good luck selling it and if the owners want me to do something contact me

Adoninet,

Bro, you really must start using paragraphs. lol

Nonetheless I am the complete and full owner of this domain. Also known as the registrant. Not the broker.

As for it's value - Besides the obvious domain value, it also has 1000+ searches with extension on Overture. That figure right their speaks volumes of the amount of type-in traffic it receives on a daily basis. In my mind, this domain is worth double what sail.com is worth.

Nonetheless thank you for your interest, however I wish you all the best. I have my own contacts I would like to sell to first.

Thanks Wolfgang.

By the way - No hard feelings, I had sold it for $5,000 more six days later. Go figure, that's my luck I suppose. lol

train.com, could be used in health/fitness racing/dog obedience markets also plus more.... Much stronger than sail.com and worth $20k minimum IMO.

the real play is to sony music for the band "train" they're a major band

250K is the number if you can get sony interested

the reason is simple, sony music produces millions of albums for train records

train.com on them would be 'PERFECT'

only problem is sony likes to keep their traffic under sony.com

most of their products run on subdomains of sony.com

tough company to deal with though, japanese owned

they do biz a little different over their

so it is a huge name if the right group went to sony through the right channels

sony is a mult-billion dollar company so they can pay whatever they want

but "Train" sells a tons of records for them

whooo-whooo (Train whistle).

Depends on the buyer, but...

$5K - $40K is a reasonable range.

Best of luck.
