I got a snapback - the name hosted with Dotster how do I transfer it to Enom.

If it's in the 1st 60 days from registration I don't believe you can. Most registrars require 60 days from registration date before they will authorise a transfer.
If/when 60 days are up then click on "Domain Names">"Transfer" in the left column in the Enom Control Panel and follow the procedure as instructed.

Thanks - I will hang on till 60days

I just transferred from dotster to enom - very easy - but yes you have to wait 60 days and make sure the reg lock is off

A snapback that went to dotster - sure it wasn't Namewinner ?

yeah the 60 day thing is a pain - why do they do that?

There is a chargeback window for credit cards. From what I heard the 60 day period protects registrars from chargebacks after a domain is transferred. That makes sense (to registrars).

What your claiming is impossible.

I think what you meen is you got a name through NameWinner

And isnt there some sort of thing that within teh first 30 days you can (somehow) switch registrars?

NO - it was one of the snaps (snap names or dnforum snap) NOT Namewinner. Like front row said - the 60 day thing is a pain.

Since when does Dotster catch for SnapNames? :weird:

I test the registrars from time to time to see if they will let the transfer go thru. So far, their computer says NO, NO, NO!!!

So, I now pencil the dates into my appt book and play by "their" rules.
