Trick Sedo?

I just received an offer on a domain that I have parked with Sedo. However they are taking 50% from the sale for themselves. Thats a little selfish, wouldn't you say? Well I replied to the seller, but I read later, that they could edit what you write, or not send the reply at all. Is there any way to get past this insanity?

They do that so that ppl dont insult each other and so that ppl do not bypass sedo to avoid the fee... It is 10% ($50 minimum) commission fee btw.

I got this news in a message from sedo on Sept 4. It appears that if you "park" your name there and an offer is made, you only lose 10%. Anyone else get this email?

Oh, well I guess I'll take the deal. I respect Sedo, and someone is buying my site, so I'm happy.

EDIT: I thought they took 50%, but I realized the $50 fee. I am selling the domain for only $100.

Yet Sedo rips off customers that purchase feature listings [see my other thread here for details] ... so much for "happy" customers.

So on one hand Sedo is willing to forego commission revenue, likely amounting to many thousands, and yet chooses to not refund $117 USD I paid for featured listings that were not shown as advertised; misleading customers is bad, costly business.

Ron, perhaps you could provide more information on what is "misleading" - the following reply was given in a previous thread http://www.dnforum.com/showthread.php?p=427627

Please note that the conditions of the featured listing are outlined in detail:

"Domains will be Featured on the Sedo country site where they were ordered, unless otherwise requested"

Now that statement is clearly shown under "Additional Details" relating to Featured Listings on Sedo's site, so I think members will want to know in what way the offer is misleading, or if maybe it was a case that you did not read or understand the conditions before posting the name?

SEDO is SLOW and has some problems, I had to wait LONG to receive money for a pending sale, but at last, got it. In all, it's a resource we all need, monopoly I would say

last comment with a response to my counteroffer was 'must be good crack over there"
sedo approved the comment and forwarded to me so i guess insults arent there main motive for reviewing but rather people trying to circumvent commision fees
I since changed my portfolio to parking only so i dont have to deal with comments like these, if people dont like prices then move on
not reffering to you Alexander but someone who offered me 62 dollars on a 10k domain

The sale didn't go through because the buyer had "life changing problems". Sedo emailed me and asked if I wanted to take legal action. 3 days later, I get another offer but for less $.
