I am interested in a domain. When I check whois at nsi.com it shows expiration date as 13-jan-2003 .

When I check at DomainWhitePages.com , it shows 13-jan-2004

Who is right ?

When a domain name expires, MOST registrars would renew it with the REGISTRY, extending the registration for another year. That's why you'll see 2004. But when the registrant does not renew it within 45 days, it will then be deleted (or shoved to the RGP now).
