im curious to know...

if someone has an LLL that is similar to an unregistered trademark and they are using an affiliate to promote their company...
Will this cause any problems or is the owner of the LLL ok?

The affiliate has LLLL but the so-called typosquatter is using LLL (on character shorter).

What is happening...
1. still directing traffic to the affiliate page
2. There are no other affiliates or content on the page
3. Their service is free - they have no products to sell!
4. the owner of the LLL gets paid per signup

Is this legitimate?

I am not with another forum. This is the only forum i post at. Do i have an evil twin? And no, I have not read the answers. Anyways.

www.reds.(something) is "not" a trademarked name, but it is known by the public and is recognized with the company to get access to the company.

now, i got:
www.red.(something) which is only one letter shorter than the original.

So www.reds.(something) has started an affiliate for their service which is free. They pay $1.00 per sign up. so far i have gotten about $15 each day.

Yes, i have read the "affiliate agreement" and its not stated there. "i do read, you know". this affiliate is in Japan and such typosquatting is not such a hit here. But, im getting a lot of hits and would hate to divert traffic to their competitor(s)...
