Got an offer of $400 for UODU.com, but that seems low, given the quality of the letters, and the recent increase in the value of four letter .com's. Any thoughts on current and near future value would be appreciated. Thanks.

its a good offer, sell it or sit on it for another year and you will get more then 400

otherwise sell it and take the offer

thats a tough one! the U's are "bottom-end" vowels and not considered premium letters, but it HAS 3 dang vowels! in comparison, i sold a similar 3 vowel name with K instead of D for under $200 about a month ago.... your name is in my opinion higher quality but, at current market, i think the $400 offer is very fair. Of course, you can hold onto it and most likely make more down the road, or take whatever the ROI is for you at $400 and reinvest in more/better names while they are still reasonable.

for what its worth..... SP

seems a decent offer for a LLLL which is not pronounceable and has no acronyms.

hmm seems to be a tad lesser than i wud sell it for.
I have one of the kind (EODU) which i believe should go easy for ~500-800 min. This one is similar in nature.

Ask for $800 and split the difference with them, $600.

don't believe any of the crap about U not being premium etc. An end user doesn't care for that.

Counter with 10k. If he doesn't come back, I bet you can sell it for the $400 here at DNF in 3 months, $300 right now

dude, if its an end user, does it matter?

If my company acronym was MNBIOP, would you counter with $7 just because in the reseller market its a reg fee domain?

How is that a sensible counter offer if you can get LLL for less then this?

I agree with sashas on this one. I don't generally buy domains to sell at reseller prices. I aim to sell to end users at end user prices, that's what IMHO makes this game worth playing.

If you think you're dealing with an end user then aim high and see how they respond. With an offer of $400, you're not going to lose much if any if it turns sour.

Take the offer. $400 is very fair.

Firstly, how do you know it's an enduser showing interest?

Secondly, get greedy and lose a sale.

I started this thread, and I want to say thanks for all the great comments. I'm more of a buy and hold type owner, unless I've I think I've got a good end user as the buyer, so I have no plans accept this offer. I think 4 letter .com's (and .net's too) will appreciate quite a bit, and sooner rather than later.

The offer I received was from someone who took great pains to let me know that he was a 'student' in an apparent attempt to keep the price low (third offer I've received from a so called 'student' in the last two weeks). So, I was pretty sure he was someone who was just going to flip it.

By the way, is this 'student' ploy getting more common for everyone? Just wondering.
