For Sale Using excel to filter

I've downloaded the domain names to drop for tomorrow. I have the list open in excel but I can't figure out how to eliminate all the domain names that contain numbers in the name. How would I do this? Thanks in advance.

Import name list to excel as text. Not use general format.

excel sees numbers that are grouped together with words as text ... that won't help..

he'll need a custom cell definition to do what he wants and i looked last night and couldn't find one easily, but that is the solution to the problem.

You got ms word?
In word you can select edit replace special "any digit"
with a comma
Then paste into a1 in excel and you could data text to columns on comma
Then sort or whatever

Whenever I import names, I drop them through TextPad (http://www.textpad.com/) first. I use this method to quickly remove domains I don't want (i.e., numeric, hyphen, ccTLDsm, etc):

To remove stuff you don't want...

1. Press F5 (search), type the search phrase you DON'T want. Click Mark All. (Tip: You can use regex, if you know it. For instance, to remove numbers, enter "[0-9]" (without the quotes) and make sure the Regular Expression box is checked.
2. Click Edit >> Delete >> Bookmarked Lines

To show just the stuff you do want...

1. Press F5 (search), type the search phrase you DO want (i.e., ".com"). Click Mark All.
2. Select All (CTRL-A)
3. Click Search >> Toggle Bookmark (or CTRL-F2)
4. Click Edit >> Delete >> Bookmarked Lines
