Those valuations seem awfully high to me, since people would probably be using the plural of code(s). I might say it's worth 1k at the high end, but if it was videocodes then it would be a lot more.

Trust us we know what we are talking about. If you say a domain is worth as much as you can sell it for, then its worth atleast $5k because I believe he has been offered in that range

I'm only trying to explain why _I_ appraised this domain at this price, I'm not trying to be snotty or start a fight, nor am I saying anyone else is, I'm just trying to make my point so I'm understood.

As a user, if I were searching for video codes, I would type in "video codes" into the address bar, or google or yahoo or whatever engine you choose. Typing in video codes would get me to videocodes.com obviously. This to me means less typeins and more work trying to get traffic.

Of course it's still a good domain, which is why i stated the price I did. I based my price on name value alone. We were not informed of traffic and I didn't check back links or for PR or any other goodies.

From Google: Results 1 - 10 of about 1,030,000 for "video code".

Traffic is still unknown, but I would expect it to get around 200-600 type-ins per day.

I think $1k is very low considering that people are paying a lot more for even drops that are generic typos with lower overture.

What about traffic? how much in day? If it would make at least $10 in PPC, then I would say at least $10k to a reseller.
