I would like to make a recommendation to you. I suggest you Paypal these guys what you would have had to pay at DNForum.com. Since a lot of you said "it's not the money, it's the principle". Put your money where your mouth is. These guys work their asses off, for what? Just to an influx of cheapskates and domain reseller wannabes.

You should be one the first to pay those guys AMERICAR. You put a lot of miles on their chat room. That chat room is not free. Why should they be the only ones to foot the bill?

It appears to me that just because x amount of members have not yet signed up to be a gold or platinum member then they are classed as cheapskates and domain seller wannabes.

Not knowing the total membership here at Dnforum.com it is difficult to say how many members fall in to this category.

I for one feel it unproffesional for such a posting to be made at another forum.

just my 2 cents worth.

Perhaps I should keep my opinions to myself, then one day I might have enough to pay for a lead membership.

Money is everything... With it, you can give money to your favorite charity, spend more time with your family that doesn't live close, buy your parents a nice car... etc, etc. People who have money MOST of the time use it for good. Socialists don't realize this.

bottomline: Keep in mind, anyone who has a website that is not personal in nature should be trying to make money. If not they would be fools. As I've said before, since DNF has gone to the "pay to play" model the experience has been MUCH better.

edit: I see that Americar was now talking about "the other forum" adminstrators. My comments still stand. In the end Pay sites are much better.

from my own view i think this was a childish thing to do gregr - i have supported the platinum membership basis from day 1 and i will continue to do because for me the price is more than justified for the information and trading opportunities which are freely available

however, making a post on another forum like this is not very professional and i fail to see the logic in it apart from rubbing noses in it

there are still some top members here who arent platinum members and i just dont think its fair to label them cheapskates because they havent signed up

It is a good statement, but I feel I should note that they aren't accepting donations.
