Dear DNForum members,

I have decided to sell my web hosting forum located at http://www.WebHosts-Discussion.com

I have dedicated a lot of time to this site. I have written articles and submitted them to various sites for publishing in order to create a steady stream of back-links and also to divert SE traffic by getting ranked in SERPs, I have individually approached webmasters who have related sites and have asked for link exchanges and I currently have reciprocal links with many high PR sites. If you are interested in viewing the articles, please see below:

Articles

• Essentials to Starting a Web-Hosting Company : http://www.webhosts-discussion.com/index.php?showtopic=76

• Listing of VB and IPB forum skin sites : http://www.webhosts-discussion.com/index.php?showtopic=86

• Install IPB On Your Domain.com Through cPanel : http://www.webhosts-discussion.com/index.php?showtopic=55

• Detailed Information Of The .info Promotion : http://www.webhosts-discussion.com/index.php?showtopic=390

• Tips To Drive Visitors To Your WebSite : http://www.webhosts-discussion.com/index.php?showtopic=391

I have also conducted a few interviews of Web-Hosting companies. Until now I have been able to publish a total of 8 interviews. A few of them are:

Interviews

• Interview With Mr. Carlos : http://www.webhosts-discussion.com/index.php?showtopic=362

• Interview With Mrs. Teresa : http://www.webhosts-discussion.com/index.php?showtopic=361

• Interview With Mr. Rob : http://www.webhosts-discussion.com/index.php?showtopic=159

• Interview With Mr. Lancing : http://www.webhosts-discussion.com/index.php?showtopic=51

• Interview With Mr. Josue : http://www.webhosts-discussion.com/index.php?showtopic=22

If you are interested in seeing more interviews, please do so by visiting the Interviews Sub-Forum.

Site Income

The Google Adsense income can more than easily cover hosting costs of a shared account. It also leaves me money to spend on my domain collection ;). I never intended the ads to make lots of money, the sole reason for them to be placed was that my site could get crawled better as the GoogleBot visited all pages with Adsense on it – exactly what I wanted :). Playing around with the placement and colors of the ads could help in higher click through rates.

Advertising and Marketing

This forum has a lot of potential if it is marketed to people in the right way by holding domain giveaways, hosting accounts, free advertising and many other marketing techniques.
An active member base would help define your price for selling ad space. There is already an existing installation of phpAdsnew on my hosting account for managing ad campaigns.

I have not done any paid advertising for it but it still gets around 780+ unique visitors per month. Links from webmaster sites, search engines (Primarily Google and Yahoo) are some traffic getters.

I have installed an AI Bot that responds to every message posted in a forum that it has rights to. You can try him out in the Off-Topic forum. It is a free mod for IPB and learns how to answer better, the more it is used.

Domain Information

The domain has a GooglePageRank of 4. Registered at eNom and expires at 2005-06-14

What you get

* The eNom account password which has the domain : www.WebHosts-Discussion.com . The domain is valid until 2005-06-14

* My Hosting account that you could use for 5 days to transfer files to your hosting account. However, if you do not want to transfer the files and would like to continue using the same hosting account, you will have to pay for it yourself after 5 days. The site is hosted at Sonnex Hosting (Sonnexh.com)

* You get rights to publish the Interviews conducted by me in the Interview sub-forum on your site.

* You get rights to publish the Articles written me on your site.

Statistics for the traffic

You can view the awstats statistics for the months of June, July, August, September and October here: http://www.webhosts-discussion.com/salestats.jpg

How much I am looking for

I reserve the right to reject any and all bids, and cancel the sale at any time. I will only accept payments through iKobo.com. NO PayPal.

I have also posted this sale on WebHostingTalk.com and will sell the site to the person who offers the highest price close to the Buy It Now price.

Please free to PM/Post any queries that you might have.

Increments = Increments of 10 $

You must decide whether or not this is an auction!
If it is you cannot hold it here and at other venues and it must be in the New Auction System.
If it is not an auction then the above comment must be deleted and you must make clear that you are just inviting offers or BIN.
Please decide and change accordingly now - failure to make the required changes will see the post removed.

Please note this is NOT an auction, I have just mentioned an increment as I didn't want one user offering 200 $ and another offering 200.50 $.

UPDATE: I have received an offer of 200$ and 270$ already. Will wait for some time and sell to the highest offer close to the BIN..

Hi wwesnnet,

The price you mentioned is only the BIN price. I was considering offers close to it.

I would suggest you go around some of the articles mentioned above ... they have taken a lot of effort to write. Conducting the Interviews was also very time consuming ... some people reply some don't. Starting off with the interviews was the tough part ... now that I've made a small collection - companies are impressed and do reply. I would suggest you browse a bit on the forum. I admit it doesn't have a lot of posts but what it does seems quite informative, IMO.

Thanks for your interest.

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in this thread.

Wise,

I might be able to accept payments through cheque. Is this medium all right for you?
But please note, I will only give access to the site after I deposit the money into my account.

sicomp,

The highest bid has still remained at 270 $.

Thanks,
MrDomain

Hi,

270$ is the highest I have got. The sale couldn't be completed as I was not able to accept a PayPal transfer. Are you interested?

What price would you be looking at?
And payment would be through iKobo?

well honestly, probably around your starting price. But since you got higher offers I guess you wouldn't be interested. And yes I(we) can pay using iKobo
