You need to explain why you singled these registrars out Manic. But as a rule, the "you pay for what you get" applies.
If anyone running a registrar starts feeling they are working for free, then the whiplash will happen, sooner, or later.
The internet is an extreme example of free economy. Everyone wants to be competitive, even to the state of foolishness.
Hedge your bets carefully. Because the penny wise pound foolish mentality could get you into really hot shmoo one day.

This is the one industry I'm convinced that it does not apply. After five years of dealing with NSI and Register.com and their multiple frustrations, it should read, "You pay for what you don't get" I've registered 100's of domains with Registerfly the last three years and overall have been very happy registering domains for $10/yr.
