Good thinking, officialdomainer!I’ve got a name that might fit this trend loosely — AiroSend.com. It blends “air” and “send,” which could align with satellite communication, data transmission, or drone-based delivery systems. I’m curious if names in this broader aerospace/communication niche might also benefit from the growing interest in space tech?
Do you see more upside in communication-focused names or pure space exploration themes?
Do you think demand for those names jumps once space travel feels more mainstream and bookable?I think acquiring and developing space travel and tourism names is an awesome prospect. There is a LOT of money in this area. I have been collecting space tourism names since around 2002 and ANXIOUSLY watched as Burt Rutan & Paul Allen won the Ansari X prize in 2004. Unfortunately, the market did not take off at that point and I am still waiting, but this area's time is coming SOON with Musk, Bezos, and Branson all vying to make commercial space travel commonplace.
My best domain is Space Trips (dot com), which I acquired in 2002 or 2003 right here on DNF. I traded Engineers.net straight up for it (which I got on a drop - Ahhh, the good old days![]()
I once had an unsolicited $30k offer for it, which I laughed off. Twenty years later, I am still waiting for the market to mature. If anybody has connections in this area (like to Musk, Bezos, Sir Branson or others,) I will pay a nice referral fee if any of my domains are sold![]()
