discussion What do you think about the future development of space-related domain names?

This is a general discussion thread revolving around the a topic of the original poster's choice.
I’ve got a name that might fit this trend loosely — AiroSend.com. It blends “air” and “send,” which could align with satellite communication, data transmission, or drone-based delivery systems. I’m curious if names in this broader aerospace/communication niche might also benefit from the growing interest in space tech?
Good thinking, officialdomainer!

Do you see more upside in communication-focused names or pure space exploration themes?
I think acquiring and developing space travel and tourism names is an awesome prospect. There is a LOT of money in this area. I have been collecting space tourism names since around 2002 and ANXIOUSLY watched as Burt Rutan & Paul Allen won the Ansari X prize in 2004. Unfortunately, the market did not take off at that point and I am still waiting, but this area's time is coming SOON with Musk, Bezos, and Branson all vying to make commercial space travel commonplace.

My best domain is Space Trips (dot com), which I acquired in 2002 or 2003 right here on DNF. I traded Engineers.net straight up for it (which I got on a drop - Ahhh, the good old days :)

I once had an unsolicited $30k offer for it, which I laughed off. Twenty years later, I am still waiting for the market to mature. If anybody has connections in this area (like to Musk, Bezos, Sir Branson or others,) I will pay a nice referral fee if any of my domains are sold ;)
Do you think demand for those names jumps once space travel feels more mainstream and bookable?

For sure. Right now, only the super-rich can afford a space trip. Richard Branson once said that we will see $35,000 space trips in our lifetime. While that number is still a larger amount, it is within reach of a LOT of people. With more people participating, more companies will enter the market, leading to more commerce, which leads to more advertising, which means the names will (hopefully) gain more value. This has been quite a waiting game, but it costs $10/year to renew each space travel domain that I have. I am a VERY patient person.

Patience pays, dude! Are you focusing more on tourism-related names or broader space infrastructure terms?

Hi all,
I also have a few space related names. 1) Space Bets dot com, 2) VIP Space dot com, and 3) Space Connection dot com.
Gotten a few ridiculous offers as well. If anyone can find a home for them i would also pay a referral fee.
Best of luck

I am focusing on tourism names.
Makes sense, Bob. Once space travel goes mainstream, those names could take off just like early tech domains.

Fair point, Jimmy. Roughly what range were those ‘ridiculous offers’ in?

The $5 to $10,000 area.
I think they could have done a lot better, lol
Have a great weekend!
Maybe those offers reflected timing more than potential since interest often spikes after major industry milestones.
Nice Daaay, Jimmy!
What about Airosend.com ?
Hi, officialdomainer

Interesting name, though its meaning feels abstract. Clearer industry context could strengthen its brand potential.

Where i should present this for potential interest or legit offer's

Thank you, nicenic.
Maybe so, hopefully one of these days they will find a home.
Have a great day!

Try trusted marketplaces first because serious buyers notice quality names when placed thoughtfully.

Absolutely, the right end user can turn a dormant domain into a standout brand overnight.

Gud luck, bud

They say domain needs patience i agree on that but still airosend.com worth it for a immediate investment ?

True, patience matters. But short-term flips only work if branding demand already exists.

Hiiiii, sorry to bother you again, @Helmut.

We’ve recently migrated our website to NiceNIC.com, and I was hoping you might be able to help us update our wiki page and links to point to NiceNIC.com instead.

Thank you so much in advance for your help! We really appreciate it!
