I have about 400 4 letter .com's that I want to see and I am curious what the average 4 letter.com would sell for before I post the list to see if its worthwhile.

IMHO - it's EXTREMELY subjective. 4-letter words are great and many ought to bring low $xxxx (some even more). Random acronyms are more grey... techies and privacy nuts might be interested in DHCP.com and DMCA.com, but they don't have a truly broad appeal. Many could also stand for stock tickers, etc, etc. The worst ones I'd peg at low-mid $xx, they really aren't like 2-char .com's that are always in demand, or 3-char .com's that are almost always in demand.

Good luck doing the research on 400 4-letter combos to figure the values. I don't envy you in that regard, though I do look forward to seeing what you have to offer. :)

It all depends on the letters
fold.com is considered a 4 letter dot com but is worth a lot more then something like pzzz.com. There are many words that contain 4 letters

I only have one 4 letter dot come (NSFW.com - Not Safe For Work) - Adult Site

LOL! Yes, "fold" is a 4-letter word, but when industry insiders talk about "4-letter .com's", they mean like ... "pzzz.com". Very much like you wouldn't categorize "sky.com" as a 3-letter .com: it's soooo different.

If you want to move them quickly, price them at $25 a piece

Mostly worthless unless they spell out a keyword or have some link pop. Just our past experience - Best of luck - Steve

I would doubt that. I remember buying my one and only 4-letter .com over at GreatDomains/NetSol during the hey days for that rate (for my dog who since has her own domain website :D); the market has changed A LOT since then.

True. Someone else posted a long list of them this past week in that price range and I didn't see any sell. There are thousands with good letters unregistered, so they are an extremely tough sell.

I did, and I sold mine. ($12 +/-) each I can't remember exactly in bulk, for some quick paypal $.

I think Ken (TopNames.com) did aswell.

Some 4 letter.com's are definitely worth it.

I will be picking up a big amount of them soon.

Maybe 50, 500, 5000 who knows :)

They are a tough sell and those names were going for $45 a piece or 3 for $100. If I was going to dump 400 names, I would start by pricing them at $25 each and offer deep discounts for bulk purposes. Come on guys, you still have to strategize a little bit. Geez ... That's ok, good domainers know how to drive down the value before they even hit the market..
