OK, since it is now free I went ahead and gave Enom's Club Drop another try. I put the minimum bid in for a domain. One other person also bid the minimum, so it went to their new Pool-knockoff 3-day auction. The auction has ended and neither one of us thought it was worth more than the extra $2 we bid. So their status of the auction now says "Tie". There is absolutely nothing I can find anywhere on their site that addresses this situation, which must be pretty common. I would assume the first person placing the bid would get it, but they don't address that either and there is no indication anywhere as to which of us bid first anyhow. So what do they do now? Haven't heard a peep out of them. And finally, could they possibly screw Club Drop up worse? :-D

I thought I read where the first person to submit would win the tie. This was something I read back when it still was Drop club and not the kiddy pool. I can't find it in the facts now.

I have had one tie on a 4 letter dot net where niether of us bid again and the name was awarded to me. I guess it was because I was first.

Thanks think. I actually made an error above. The auction hasn't ended. I looked at the 11:41am closing time but that is Pacific (which would be 2:41pm my time) so I guess I will find out this afternoon. It would be nice if they let you know who placed the bid first. If you were first there would be no reason at all to bid again - against yourself (assuming the tie will go to the first bidder). If you were second you would know you have to bid or you lose the name. They could certainly make things a lot more clear on their site. Poorly written FAQ's and instructions are my biggest pet peeves!

OK - I did wind up getting the domain, so I must have been the first one to place a bid. Would really help if they did what Pool does and indicates your status. At Pool if more than one person is at $60, the person with the first bid shows up in green. The way it is now at Enom, you apparently have no idea if you are the bidder in the lead position when there is a tie.

I thought it went to round robin.
I've lost two ties in a row b/c I wasn't willing to go to 10pts. :cheeky:
