My understanding is that for un-established dn's, overture gives you a good idea about the terms you need to populate your website with, more than for creating or evaluating a dn w/ extension.

Once a website/DN has decent traffic, the 'dn.com' itself gets typed in enough to show up on overture.

Kind of like the product builds the name in the begining, and then the name carries the product (even getting bigger than the product) as time goes on.

That's when the name becomes very valuable.



Any help?

so lets say a domain name is 150 and with extensiom 30, is this good?

That's a pretty good start! (unless you and your five friends have been typing it in.)

If you haven't done any promotion yet, that means it's a natural winner.
If you have promoted the name (have a website) already on th other hand, then you have a ways to go yet.

either way, I think you have something. And Good + Promotion (always) = Better.

Name with extension and a 30 rating in O/T is a starting point for a name with traffic.

you can check it out on a ppc and see if there is any traffic
