I think he is playing you.. I know I know not what you wanted to hear. He threw a number out based off his research and you too eagerly replied.. Now he feels that he has you in his control.

I anticipate a negotiation..

Say you will think about it. If he resumes to be stubborn, say deal is off and you plan to develop...

See what happens next

I am now really disappointed with this person now. He didn't answer my calls any more. Not replying my emails quite a few times and he replied only once saying he is looking to buy .co.uk version and if he could not buy it, there is no point buying my domain.

He run his own ..........****+++.com and he does not own .co.uk verion for his main website. Now he is giving this excuse. I now think he is just giving excuse to back out of the deal.

When I called him before Easter, he promised to go ahead with the deal after sorting his account. Now he is breaking his promise and deal.

I will let you know the progress and will also let you know who he is to avoid similar time wasting scenerio in the future for you all.

If he hasnt paid now obviously hes not going too so why continue to waste your time? It sucks but its probaly time to move on.

Best of Luck

Ok. I sent out the last email and if no reply in 24 hours, I will assume no interest from him to proceed and will let you know.

You want to set it up so that they chase you, do not chase them :)

I'm not even going to get into a pissing match of who has more experience selling to end users, because I would make you look silly.

I gave my opinion, why be disrespectful?

I'm out.
Wow, I'm impressed with anyone that can make me look silly.

Ok. I sent out the last email and if no reply in 24 hours, I will assume no interest from him to proceed and will let you know.
I think you should name and shame.

move on ... he was mostly likely just testing the waters, since you were quick to respond he maybe thinking he overbid.

negotiating 101 : always negotiate the first offer ..

good luck to you

james move on you have been here too long to fall for the whole thing is not kosher at all

HI

Give him a few more days he may just be busy and has not had time to get online and check his emails... if after a few days you have not heard anything send him another few emails and then wait and if no reply just move on.

Thx
Tom

I usually initiate escrow immediately after reaching a price agreement. Just curious, have you contacted the .co.uk domain owner to compare notes?

We have started the transaction at escrow.com today as the buyer said "ok" to proceed.

Congrats! I had a similar situation, but after 2 months, $8k has arrived home.

Gee, how many telepathic mindreaders in this thread saw that coming?

This is the very reason I called a lot of this second guessing as to why this and why that as being pure bullshit.

James, congrats on the sale and hope all else moves along seemlessly.

Looks like integrity wins.

congrats james I was praying that the deal would go thru for you

Thank you all. I will keep updated.

As I promise to update the sale, I would like to let you know that the domain transaction almost finished. The buyer approved and accepted the domain transfer and Escrow is now doing final check to release fund.

thank you all.

He may be playing hide & seek w/you. The more you seek-the more he may save off the 4 grand....stay cool...don`t chase.

I recently got an offer of over $4000 for one of my domains from a chairman/founder of a very reputable site.

I accepted the offer without any question or counter offers. Now the person failed to respond to my emails for over past 2 days.

What should I do? What will you do in similar situation? I had had such situations about 3 times over past few weeks.
