I thought it was 5 days after the last update, once in Pending Delete status? And 6 for com/net. Or vice versa.

PENDING DELETE RESTORABLE is not "pending delete" .com style.
SCHEDULED TO BE RELEASED is "pending delete".

So that applies to ORG domains only?

Redemption Period = Pending Delete - Restorable
Pending Delete = Pending Delete - Scheduled To Be Released.

Those on the left column are using the old Registrar-Registry Protocol (RRP),
currently only .com and .net. Those on the right are using the Extensible
Provisioning Protocol (EPP), currently .org, .info, .biz, and .us domain names
at the very least.

FYI, Verisign's expecting all registrars to use EPP by October (22, I think). So
the status lines will use those on the right column and more.

From PIR:

http://pir.org/Search/WhoisHelp.aspx

Domain name statuses that are set by the registry:
  • OK: This is the normal status value for a domain object at all times, whether or not the domain name has pending operations or prohibitions.
  • Hold: The domain name will not be published in a zone file for Domain Name System (DNS) resolution. Domain names without at least two name servers are placed on "Hold" status until you submit name server data to your registrar.
  • Pending Delete - Restorable: A delete request has been received for the domain name, and it will remain in this Redemption Grace Period (RGP) status for 30 days, unless restored. The domain name also is placed on "Hold" status, which removes it from the zone file (meaning that no Internet services, including e-mail and Web sites, are available for that domain name) but it has not yet been purged from the registry database. The domain name cannot be renewed, deleted, transferred or updated while in this state. By contacting the sponsoring registrar, the registrant can request that the domain name be restored. For more information, see "Frequently Asked Questions: Redemption Grace Period.
  • Pending Delete - Scheduled for Release: At the end of RGP, the domain name will move to this Redemption Hold Period status for five days prior to being released for re-registration. The domain name cannot be restored, renewed, deleted, transferred or updated while in this state.
  • Pending Transfer: A transfer request has been received for the domain, and completion of the request is pending. The domain name cannot be deleted or updated while in this state. A domain name that has pending transfer status MAY be auto-renewed.
  • Delete Prohibited: The domain name cannot be deleted.
  • Renew Prohibited: The domain name cannot be renewed.
  • Update Prohibited: The domain name cannot be updated.
  • Transfer Prohibited: The domain name is restricted from being transferred to another registrar. Please note that within the first 60 days of registration or within the first 60 days following a transfer, a domain name will be placed in "Transfer Prohibited" status.
  • Inactive: A domain name with this status usually does not have the required name servers associated with it.
Domain name statuses that are set by the sponsoring registrar and cannot be changed by the registry:

  • Client Delete Prohibited: The registrar has set the status so the domain name cannot be deleted.
  • Client Renew Prohibited: The registrar has set the status so the domain name cannot be renewed.
  • Client Update Prohibited: The registrar has set the status so the domain name cannot be updated.
  • Client Transfer Prohibited: The registrar has set the status so the domain name cannot be transferred.
  • Client Hold: The registrar has set the status so a domain name is removed from the zone file - meaning that no Internet services, including e-mail and Web sites, are available for this domain name.

To think it was Verisign who designed EPP. And it's only now they're enforcing
it.
