Where is the todays active threads link?

Where is the "todays active threads" link or how do I find more threads than the few under "new posts"?

How do I get an email to tell me I have a PM?

I don't think we have that link currently but I miss it too so I hope it will soon be fitted back in somewhere in the course of re-adding some of the hacks.
Email notifications are also down at the moment and is doubtless also one of the "to do" items.
