Hi

I asked these before, but I think the post went (didnt realise wasnt allowed as gold)

Anyway - how much would people here value these as?

Whoop.tv is odd, as most premium TV domains cost $4500usd outright, then that much (or nearly) to renew each year. Whoop.tv is (I think) a premium domain name, but its registered at normal value, so only $30USD a year to renew

Whoop means to KICK ASS, SHOUT, WIN, HAPPY - it also can mean to beat up, fight etc. So would be good for sports, wrestling, music, many things

And I think ImCurrently.com could make a brilliant twitter style update website

I hope you meant $45.00. There are very few .tv domains that are worth $4,500 - if any. I can't think of one I'd pay that much for. Maybe sex.tv.

These are both reg fee domains. Do yourself a favor, stop hand registering domains. 99% of them will be worthless. Sorry to be so harsh but the sooner you learn that the better. Read up on what makes for a valuable domain - once you do you will realize there are very, very few of these available for registration. You will make money buying cheap in the reseller market. Much better to pay $20-50 for domains from domainers, that are actually worth something, than $8 on domains you hand register, that are worth nothing.

You want domains that:

-are .com (with few exceptions - for now, stick to .com)
-get a lot of exact searches using the google adwords keywork tool
-have a lot of google results for the exact words in quotes
-get traffic and revenue
-have a lot of potential end users you can sell them to
-do not violate anybody else's trademark

Just some general rules - if you get a domain that meets all of those it will be very expensive, try to get a few of them - especially .com (!!)

Good luck.

Hello PokerPie,

To clarify the $4500usd fee - a lot of the premium .tv domains (see http://buff.tv/ and it seems like hundreds, if not thousands of other dictonary words.tv) ask for $4500usd ouright. A year! And they never seem to negotiate.

I'm not sure if some company snapped them all up, or if its the .tv people themeselves - and i'm not saying they are worth that much... just that is what is being asked for them. (Anyone know the back story on this?)

Whoop.tv, while generally considered a dictionary word, was not taken up like this, so has a regular renewal fee. Which is what I was trying to explain.

Anyway, thanks for the advice, but so far, most of the domains I have listed have all been purchased by me for a project of mine, but now i've rebranded leaving me with a stack of unwanted domains.

I've been honest about this, and it's unfortunate, but hey, they made perfect sense at the time, but this rebrand is important to me! So I thought i'd offer some up here to see what people think/want (See my big list in offers wanted - and also, I still think a few are worth a decent value each, including whoop.tv to the right buyer)

My main (as you may call them, domainer domains!) I have yet to list here - but I would hope they may pleasently surprise you! :)

Still, thanks for the advice all the same
I appreciate all replies

Anything is fine if you plan to develop it. watch-movies-online.tv is a reg fee domain - the site is probably worth millions.

I'm not sure what you are talking about with those .tv domains, I just went to them both and they are both parked and with the same parking company. The .tv registry is not charging anything for those domains, some domainer or company is. Anybody can ask anything they want for a domain - doesn't mean that is what they are 'going for' or worth. Sounds like somebody fishing for suckers - none of the names you have mentioned are worth anywhere near $4,500.
