I just received my issue of revenue magazine and I really like it.
It's nice to read something NOT on my computer screen about affiliate marketing once in a while.

The opening letter from the editor really made me think.
It talked about the " internet boom" which started 10 years ago and how we probably have another 10 to go before we hit the "golden age".

But the sentence that got me thinking was : "and that is why this is a great time to be an affiliate. Ten years from now it could be too late".

If you think about how established certain "niche" sites are already on the net, it is kind of scary thinking about developing a site that competes with some of the big household names out there.

Many of us domain holders wait too long before developing sites simply because we are so focused on getting more names and we put off development for "some other day".

I am convinced that every day that we wait before developing, is a step
backwards and puts us in the hole deeper for the chances of future success.

Some of the large domain holders don't need to develop because they make so much on their traffic, but I think there is much more potential for us smaller guys in development rather than making all our money in PPC.

I personally have been developing sites and see great things ahead but I'm afraid there are too many domainers waiting too long to get the ball rolling.

So if any of you that are reading this are sitting on the fence about when to develop, I say Get It Going Now!!!!

On reason is that we think it may take too much time to develop the sites. While u can manage hundreds of domains , how many sites can you manage? Well at least this is what the think is i guess.

I've been a subscriber since day 1, actually was an affiliate of the magazine before it first came out.

I really enjoy the magazine, too bad its still only quarterly.

But, I agree, develop your domains! I develop my names, and recommend the same to everyone. I'm one to say, even if it's a half-a** attempt at developing, at least put something there and start with that. I've had many sites get started, long forgotten about, then traffic to them starts growing, so I go back and make some changes, and keep on with the cycle. The only rule is to really just constantly work on the sites.

It's like planting seeds. Some will thrive. Tend your garden.
Things like that..

Anyway, if anyone wants a link, www.IncreaseWebsiteHits.com/links
I'm actively looking to trade links with dnforum members.
If anyone reading this wants a link from one of my sites to your site, PM me your url so I can check it out. I'll find a site of mine to go with your site, and suggest it. Let's focus on some major site developing this week. Links are just one of the many ways to develop your sites.

Take care,
Jarred

I agree 100% with you.

There are a lot of people who are not sure what direction to go in as far as
what kind of site/service to offer.

While there are countless types of business to get involved with, I would pick one
and take it to the limit. While I run a few successful sites, I also have been guilty of putting something up and leaving it alone for too long.

If I could start over, I would develop the heck out of ONE site. It's so much easier to focus in on.

I must say that seeing some of these "super affiliate" sites on the web, I for sure would do a site like http://techbargains.com

Here is a company that just won a 15k prize for being one of the best affiliate sites out there from linkshare.

I checked out the site and it's not HARD to do but would require a lot of time and effort. But I'm sure that it would more than pay off.

The only thing I might ad to the site would be results of ebay items in some type of feed showing at the bottom of the page.

The only thing I have not figured out is how much time it would take to find all those darned coupons that the site offers. I think this is one of the big appeals of the site.

I have a few nice domains ready for a site like this. General shopping names or
maybee do an niche like electronics?

The idea is right in front of you folks, but you must have passion and devotion to make a site take off....
