I am only using "widget" as an example.... I dont own it. But my question is... which one has more appeal ... shop or store when naming a domain. Anyone?

i think it depends upon what you are selling.
examples: pet shop vs. pet store --wouldn't matter to me as a shopper
or electronics shop or electronics store - i would probably go with store in this example
in both instances store implies larger imo

i think shop is better used for services ... and store makes more sense for physical products.

Get the best of both worlds. You should get both and redirect one to the other.
