I like forum names - this one any good? I don't follow the sport but I think a decent (and raucous) fan base.

oh right - this is a bitter scotsman talking here - lol

i was rooting for both england and ireland in the world cup (and sweden for henrik - im a celtic fan)

if england beat brasil then i think england could have done it - i was shocked germany were so bad in the final after playing great in every game of the tournament

i still think ronaldhino meant to chip seaman though - a player of his calibre doesnt just chip it in blindly

i was on my hols in gran canaria during the first two weeks of the tournament and i wanted brasil to get put out in the first round after the way rivaldo cheated in one of the first games and held his face after getting kicked in the shins - the other guy got sent off too - absolutely discraceful - they should have banned hime for a year for that

I think this could be a decent forum. The term "world cup" has many other aplications than just soccer. You could have a major catagory for each sport that has a world cup.

Alpine Ski World Cup men/women
World Cup Snowboarding
World Cup Luge/Bobsleigh/skijumping
Cross Country Skiing World Cup
Cricket World Cup
World Cup Skateboarding

Most of these sports have huge followings around the world.

the nfl only has one nation of teams competing - the world cup is a tournament that practically every country in the world is involved - it takes two years of qualifying to reach the world cup

Even though Football is the biggest load of bo**ocks imaginable, this domain has real potential. You can see by the posts made here just recently that people just luurrve talking about it. They don't talk about the new World Cup tournaments either, they talk about all the old ones! But what makes me really ashamed to be English, is that we still hark on about winning the stupid thing way back in 1966. I mean, 19-smeggin-66!

For these reasons, the domain is worth developing, and a decent size community.could easily develop! Good luck with it!
