Maybe the public records bureau of Western Samoa would want that address... (that's what country the .ws country code belongs to)

I've had a bit of luck with them. Not big money but sold a few. I think it will be the third biggest in the future behind .com and .us
To me it seems .net is losing ground. Of course I could be wrong, often am....

To the end user, and especially the less sophisticated, doesn't the SLD on the left of the dot matter more?

Personally? I would rather own SEX.WS than SKRUING.com

Rather have Business.ws or Biznuss.com?

Maybe it depends more on who your primary market is?

Just a thought!

I totally agree with you on that. I think have a good name with a .ws is better than having a crappy .com.

I must agree on the SLD variations. I have been very selective when it comes to grabbing any other extension besides .com, but when I saw that cable.ws was available I jumped on it. I think the appeal is still there for short recognizable SLD's!

I own 32 single word .ws including Birthday.ws, Lend.ws, Luck.ws,Solution.ws, Cruise.ws, Program.ws etc.

I have also recently sold a .ws for $900.

If the name is good then even the worst tld can have fair value.

It is only the people who "know about domain names" that consider such names worthless!!

How true.

My take is that a .ws is worth 1 / 10,000 to 1 / 1000 of the corresponding .com value

So if a .com is worth say $5,000,000 the corresponding .ws is say $500 - $5000.

I dont know if that is true, Records.com would be worth thousands ,no one wants to touch records.ws

It's a waiting game for .ws , you gotta sit on them till the right person comes along.
