I always frowned upon people selling scripts that has no proof of ownership. Even if someone transfers over the DSP or Smarter Search script, they can just keep a copy for themselve.

I would figure since people sell them along with sites?

DSP website gives no indication of sale being on exclusive licence or whatever, and as Nametower says it is common to see entire sites inc DSP for sale.
DSP has also been offered for sale on several of the forums which are visited by RJ (the designer of DSP) and I do not recall him ever challenging a sale.
Maybe a PM to RJ will clarify before Nametower buys, if he feels that would be the best course of action to protect his purchase.

when i sold mine RJ said it was ok but to pm him the new users contact info for updates etc and to give the new owner the script number for easy support emails

but then he told me he was still selling them
i thought he closed his site up.
so i bought from him
so i no longer need one
