Hi,

Please appraise:

www.AntiPhishingSoftware.com & www.PhishingCop.com

Isn't it the next big thing in online/account security from fraudsters/scammasters sending 'phishing' emails all the time?

Google search shows that there is a lot of news about various companies developing "anti phishing software".

Any comments on value/potential?

-----------------------------------------
What is Phishing?

Phishing attacks use 'spoofed' e-mails and fraudulent websites designed to fool recipients into divulging personal financial data such as credit card numbers, account usernames and passwords, social security numbers, etc. By hijacking the trusted brands of well-known banks, online retailers and credit card companies, phishers are able to convince up to 5% of recipients to respond to them.

yes, sorry.
in the begining I thought (before reading the thread, just by the subject) that you were mispelling 'fishing', which made me wonder why anyone needed a fishingcop or software for it.

in any case, the ovt results for 'phishing' are ok. Nothing special, but nevertheless existent.
Keep them for the future, if this phishing thing goes well, you might have a great 'catch' :)

Wow.... Privacy Inc., of Texas has grabbed 3 other extensions after I registered www.AntiPhishingSoftware.com

Many other Phishing domains were registered in last month or so.

I hope I get lucky this time.

Thanks,

If it comes via email how you going to stop it with software ? ( could be any bank and you might even use that bank and get emails from them )

And if they are hosted in datacentres like in China who don't care who you going to report it to ?
