closed www.EyeStore.com : Premium Domain name

Hello Friends,

I own this one since the internet boom time.

During that time it once got highest offer of $145,000 at old afternic.com site.

The domain was also listed under Premier domain category with one full page ad on DomainSystems.com by Mr. Monte Cahn at that time.

It was appraised at $225,000 by DomainSystems.com

But during all that time, I was hpoing to get a lot more and hence never sold it (I guess I was too greedy).

The domain can be a portal site for anything and everything related to eyes such as: optics, eyegalsses, sunglasses, contact lenses, vision equipments, laser equipments, eye medicines, or for even an auction system worldwide portal where people can post thier needs/prescriptions -- then store owners (local store owners mainly) and manufacturers can bid own the customer needs.

In addition to www.EyeStore.com, we also own www.EyeStores.com

Any comments on value or otherwise are greatly appreciated.

Did such crazy boom times really exist? I'm sorry but $145,000 seems ridiculously high for the domain. I find it hard to believe that people went so crazy in the late 90s?

Newbies may not be familiar with the old Afternic where the appraisals were worse than worthless and a high percentage of offers to buy were either shills or fraud. It is quite likely the $145,000 offer was not genuine, IMO. I would peg this name at 1% or less than that big offer amount.
