Over the next couple of weeks I'm going to be selling several websites that I am nolonger interested in developing or which no longer serve the purpose they were once intended to have.
The first is www.UnderstandingAdsense.com. This site is a complete primer to Adsense, what it is and how you make money with it.
I wrote the content back in March and April and uploaded the site over 3 months ago with the intention of using it as a platform to launch my own Adsense ebook from. This idea has not actualised and so what I'm left with is a unique content rich website that I have no need for. Here's a bit about the site:
- The content is all unique and written by me. If you take the time to read the site you will see that it's real content that is full of insights into Adsense and not just content written to match keyword searches. (Note that a couple of the sections including: Adsense and Adwords, Creating Content and Adsense Tips have not been fleshed out with content yet)
- The site is a strong PR4 with all subpages also a PR4.
- It currently receives about 600 uniques a month.
- It is gradually acquiring natural backlinks due to the quality of the content: for example:

- As I had intended to use it as a marketing platform for my own ebook I have not optimized it for finanical return. That said over the past 3 and a half months it has made $712.32.
This income comes from several affiliate programs that are integrated into some of the articles (where relevant) and listed on the side of each page including:
Keyword Country: $180.53
Click Bank: $22.60 (affiliate marketing ebook listed on this page: http://www.understandingadsense.com/list-of-affiliate-networks.htm
XSitePro: $147.78
Blue Host Hosting: $361.41
The revenue isn't consistent month on month and has tended to vary. Across all four affiliate programs this is the monthly earnings:
April: $140.53
May: $367.45
June: $46.28
July: $158.06
What I Haven't Done
Because of the intended nature of the original project there are several things that I have not done that could be dome and that will significantly increase the revenue of this site in the future:
1. Integrate YPN ads into the content to further monetize the already existing visitors. You cannot use Adsense on websites with Adsense in the domain name so you would have to take advantage of YPN.
2. Use the site as a platform to sell your own Adsense ebook(s).
3. Use the site to heavily promote another Adsense ebook - for example: Joel Comms Adsense Secrets or William Charlwoods Definitive Guide To Google Adsense. Because I intended to sell my own I have never included theirs.
4. Add more content and turn it into an established Adsense resource.
5. Promote the site and make more from the affiliate programs that are already in place. Apart from submitting two articles to one article directory and buying a few one way links I have not promoted nor updated the content of the site since it originally went up.
6. You could even take the content that is already there and unify it into an ebook called "Understanding Adsense" and market that.
