i know its early to appraise this but i really want to see what are you thinking.

I didnt register by luck , from before i had my eyes on this and i was able to register it.

Keep in mind that its free of TM issues.

so hit me up:

PHP:
ya.tv

well.. ya.com is owned by deutsche telekom, and unfortunately they are one of the most evil enforcers of their trademarks.., just make sure it has nothing to do with any of the 1 million things they are doing..with all the BS that has been going on and companies claiming 3 letter.coms recently just be careful..

well, I have a .com domain that deutsche telekom owns 10+ other extensions. I do hope they contact me directly or through a lawyer

As for YA.TV, it's reg and renewal cost is $1,750 right? For such amount, it worths the premium fee. Young Adult .TV? :)

That means 10 years registration fees are $17,500 alone, and that's only if they keep the price the same, remember that they can raise however high they want whenever they feel like it. I'd say invest in gTLDs that abide by stricter gTLD price regulations from ICANN. While any ccTLDs like .tv (which remember is Tuvalu Country) seem to make whatever price policies and rules that particular country dictates. I say, .TV is not a good investment in general for that reason.

i knew about fee's from before and i dont have any prob with that as i m going for this domain till the end.
for tm issues now i hope that company reach me and i m ready from now to make an offer to them. If not i ll contact them.

young adult
young americans
young asians

also yatv.com is owned

the premium reg fee was $1.750

Ya also means "now" in Spanish, could be some sort of commercial angle on that. Ya.com is hugely popular in Spain.

I purchased da.tv myself few days ago and I already got a 4K offer from another domainer.
So I guess the name really worth much more to an end user.
So I will wait this "much more" for sale the domain.
Thanks to this first offer I already know I can wait 4 years without potentially lost money.

I imagine that's the same with ya.tv, both names look likes very very similar.

Exactly.
I wouldnt spend $1 in .tv domains, you need to be damn lucky to breakeven imo.

.tv sucks unless it's something amazing...the general value rules of .com don't apply here on length, etc...

.tv a high risk tld for those who got from premium lists.

it will be interesting to see who holds on to these names next year or year after, if they are paying $500 a year or more just for renewal fees.

as focus points out......."tv sucks unless it's something amazing...the general value rules of .com don't apply here on length, etc..."

especially when you can buy a .com for $6.95 and add 10 years renewal, you're still under $100 bucks!

imo, it's better to find one unregged and pay the $21 > $30 yearly fee.

however, for your name and other 2 letters, they are good to look at and admire as though they were .com or even a .net or a .org, but they're not.

best bet is to build something relative to start getting some roi asap

I looked at the list of names and was very tempted to buy a least 10 names.

value = what you paid

value also subject to decrease as renewal fees are a big expense.

however, if they decide to lower renewals fee's then value would surely increase. but how likely is that?

Good Luck!

this is my opinion as well.
Furthermore i think that when someone has www.mplamplatv.com then he is, more or less, ready to jump into mplampla.tv

Of course for now value of LL.com is not the same like LL.tv but 7 years ago
LL.com where at the same place in economical value.
TV tld is weird i know that but i m willing to get my chance and for sure i wont let this baby unregistered next year. Renewal fee is something very important and i m waiting to get a clear statement from them about this issue and then i decide how i deal this LL.tv
In fact i m not going to sell ya.tv for this year unless i get something extreme offer.

biggedon, thank u for writing all these stuff :)

can u plz give an example for 'amazing' ?
u mean an amazing website or domain?
U believe that tv power is more on development than domain?

something amazing imo would be...

sex
poker

even words like ... lcd.tv, or free.tv, cable.tv, ip.tv

or something related to television sets or programming

actual websites build on the extension are only valuable when they get traffic, which includes the typos of them.

I have about 15 > 20 .tv names and all except 1 or 2 get traffic.
Their renewal fees are less than $30.00 yearly.

beside the "cream of the crop" none are worthy of those high fees unless they have type-in traffic.

of course fee is out of discussion, but i cannot accept someone telling me than any LL.tld and more particular .tv has no value and no developement feauture.

anyway i appreciate ur appraisals :)

T + V is the most recognized LL combo on the Planet!

I've made some handsome returns selling .TV over the years. Even gotten $XXXX offers 1 day after hand regging some. Hand regged FreeVideos.TV years ago when Pharmacy.TV was regged for 1/2 Mil a Year!!

This domain is nice and to us cheap resellers, only worth close to $1000 imo.

End Users are much more motivated to pay better for the .TV they want and I would say mid-$XXXX + in that market.

Best Success in All Your Endeavours!

love this one- ya :-) the sweet thing about tv, is that its not about tv- this one will do well :-)

Makis, are you sure you weren't looking for Yaya.tv?

Ok Nostra, how much longer are you going to stroke yourself. This is an appraisals thread.

I dont believe in cctld much , you may have to hold it for a while . I personally think its worth low xxxx if it have enough time.

Low-mid x,xxx probably - seems a nice name :)
