i would think that would be of significant value myself. Hard to put a dollar figure on it since every industry would have different value. (ie you have to sell a lot of gum to equal one car)
Impossible to say without knowing the name. Type-ins are impossible to predict unless you activate the name and see what happens. Overture is not a good guide for possible type-ins.
I agree with liquidstar that it would depend on the industry the name applies to, specifically, the current supply and demand for a new .com domain in that industry and the current economic climate of the industry, as well as the type-in potential of the domain name.

I'm afraid there aren't. To get an idea of type-ins you have to just get your name out there on the web - there is no formula for second guessing how many people will type your name into their browser.

No I'm not saying that. Type-ins are type-ins. You can't manipulate people who might type in your domain name into their browser! They either do it or they don't.
If you market the domain via search engines, links, affiliates etc.. you will attract more people to your site. It's not manipulation, it's promotion.
I am talking about a virgin name that has never had a website or links attached or been promoted. Obviously a name with links, search engine rankings etc would get more traffic and more type-ins too. Hope this helps.
