Hello Everyone......

I need peoples thoughts on, AltWeb.mobi and APwire.mobi.

I'm 110% these 2 are worth more then reg fee, as both have to do with things for mobile devices.

AltWeb.mobi ( Alt Web ) n APwire.mobi ( AP Wire )

I've been doing some researching on .mobi, and have changed my mind about them being worthless. All the best ones are being auctioned off to the highest bidders, pages and pages of the best one that is.

Meaning dotmobi is going to make a mint on them, and that means people will be paying a mint for them. As much as I hate them auctioning that way, it will most likley do what they said. If you pay so much for a .mobi, you not likely to let it sit around till it expires.

So I got the 2 .mobi's, and need peoples thoughts on them.

So, you dislike that .mobi auctioned off some domains and made a profit from it.

But, it is alright that you infringe on "AP's" trademark.
And, you can't even say that you didn't mean Associated Press's Wire Service".
Because, you added the word "wire".

It is one thing to accidently infringe on someone's trademark.
It is another when you explicitly attempt to infringe on their trademark.

I'm sure one day, one of these guys are going to take you to the cleaners.

And, once they get $ 1 million judgement against you and seize all of your
assets including your domains, you will be scared the rest of life, even to spit
on the street.

Do you really think Associated Press will let you keep the domain once their
lawyers start checking recent mobi registrations?

Well it could stand for Alt Press, as there is a site up for that already as well.

I'm sure I could come up with even more things as well, that is the problem when places only use 2 letters as a trade mark.

And yes AP could just take it from me, as they got lots of money and I got none. They should of gotten the name, if they felt it was part of their trade mark.

But AP could mean lots of things, adding wire is no big deal it's a common word around the world.

Here is a few of them, I hope other give their thoughts on this. As it may well mean a high value domain, or one I let expire that I can't do anything with.

I think even without the TM issue or not (whatever) those are regfee domains at best..this .mobi crazy is insane..but I see already people trying to get rid of what they before thought were $xxxx domains for $xx now..

Yes the .mobi is a risk, but now I need to get past this trade mark stuff. .mobi's have been sold for nice prices already, and they do have a standard that they will be inforcing on all .mobi's for mobile devices.

I really need more input on this trade mark stuff though, I don't feel there should be a problem. I feel the .mobi's I got, if .mobi's take off at some point should be worth alot.

As I said I had in mind, ( APwire ) short for ( Alternative Publication Wire )

I need input on this first......

Edit In:

Also ( AltWeb ) short for ( Alternative Web )

That is what the .mobi is all about right now, as everyone using mobile devices already know. Mobile devices can't load the normal web, so the ground floor .mobi sites can then keep upping the standard untill it's just like the normal web. But by that time, people will be use to going to the .mobi's domain.

And will likely keep going to it on their mobile devices, people can't just make a normal site with a .mobi domain. Or it will be taken off line by dotmobi, and they are auctioning off the best domains, this is why I changed my mind on .mobi's being worthless.

Thanks! Tim

Edit In: After Being Moved......

I'm not worried about the value on them, I need input on this trade mark stuff mostly, and what people think of the names.

I'm looking for thoughts on them 2 things, I don't bite so reply your thoughts on them please ?
