I do not see a lot of resale value.. Maybe $50. I do think it would make a great developed site though.

Best of luck!

What - no neg. comments.

Ok - how about this for a site. Listing is free, but you've got to sign up to submit. Names stay there until you delete them yourself or they expire (you supply the expiry date). Maximum sale value - $25 or $50. Free to view and you get an email if someone submits an offer. Your mail addy is not on the web page to cut out spam.
any other suggestions?

I don't like it...sounds like someone took a dump on your names :upset: , or is that what you were looking for..names that are worth sh*t? Like a bargain basement? Still, namedump?

someones junk is another mans treasure..........seen some good names going for DN bucks.....if its gonna drop soon, why not let it go for cheap....better cheap than nothing at all.

Go for it dude. You sure will have alot of clients from here (and i think DRPiNG will be your best client  )

If you are going to sell crap names, why didn't you just register crapnames.com? It's available :)

Also, is there a large market for crap names that I am unaware of? :)

I don't want to sell crap names or reg them. What I wanted was a rummage bin where people could put mistakes or low value names that they no longer require. Buyers could then rummage through the rubbish looking for gems and get a cheap deal. With a $50 max you could even make a profit.

For example I've just dumped m-rg.com for a client as it seemed to have no value (there was a good reason for buying it in the first place). If someones name is say Mary-Ruth Gordon, it would have a value to her.

Just as a final thought - how many of you buy names that have been dropped? I bought www.horny-bitch.com for example and have started using it as an experimental site.

Dude, do it......its a good idea with some great potential. We are not talking about crap names, we are talking about a names dump. Theres a difference and i am sure you would have hundreds of names from the forum alone....hell, you got 500 from DRPiNG.....well, those are crap, but thats another story :)

Let me see which side of the naming fence members fall on here. You understand DomainPairs idea. Would you stick with his name:

NameDump.com (memorable to be sure but possibly negative connotiations), or would you favor one of these (all available as of this writing):

Domain-Surplus.com (a little more professional sounding, but has that darn hyphen)

DNSurplus.com (no hyphen and shorter, but the DN initials are recognized more by insiders than the general public)

Namex.biz (leaving .com all together to get something really short and catchy but with an untested TLD - Namex standing for Name Exchange).

Which of the four would you choose?
